I hope that now that you have diagnoses, that good strategies, plans and support will be made available to you as well. Your auction-mini is gorgeous, and the little pin-cushion is just so sweet and pretty - and how special that it's sitting in a bowl turned by your uncle! Your sewing is awesome - so know that when you do get time and space to sew, you are creating beautiful things. take care xxcat and vee xoxohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01740352837418442644noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8740822052786472282.post-15334519182748080982013-09-16T14:28:38.888+10:002013-09-16T14:28:38.888+10:00Thanks for sharing about your family, depression i...Thanks for sharing about your family, depression is so hard to deal with. My teenage son was diagnosed with it several years ago and they also thought he might have aspergers but he didn't. Glad they're getting the help they need and you have sewing as your therapy :)Anitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00166989410057397766noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8740822052786472282.post-51311747444358103552013-09-16T11:48:17.219+10:002013-09-16T11:48:17.219+10:00Love the pin cushion. He's so much better now, and got the diagnosis on his own, when he figured out that he was having troubles that shouldn't be so hard. I'm so proud of the hurtles he's overcome. Now your boys can get what help they need to help them succeed, too.Cheryl's Teapots2Quiltinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01005480747596617459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8740822052786472282.post-65695773379195023482013-09-15T21:16:42.981+10:002013-09-15T21:16:42.981+10:00Hi Jess. I typed out a big comment, and it seems to have got lost in the world wide web somewhere.
Love the pincushion...an heirloom if ever I saw one.
Your quilt is gorgeous. So many tiny pieces, and the quilting perfect as usual.
I will be keeping you and your boys in my prayers. I know there are many changes and routines to be set in place and get used to. What a great idea to use a wooden bowl and it's even more special since it was hand made as well. The quilt is lovely too; well done with the two finished. I'm sorry to hear about your kids (and your hubby)! But I'm sure it's a good thing that the kids have been diagnosed now, as early intervention is quite important. My friend's father has just been diagnosed with Asperger's and he's in his eighties!! He too was suffering from depression. I wonder how his life would have turned out, if he had been given help earlier on in his life!
