Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day!

Hi all,

Welcome to my blog if you are new! Feel free to have a look around!

I thought I would giveaway some of my favourite fabric….that I haven’t been game to cut into yet! I just can’t decide what to make, placemats or potholders???

SMS Giveaway 2

There is a mix of fabric here – Riley Blake Chevrons and the Michael Miller kitchen print. But they match perfectly!

SMS Giveaway 1

The kitchen print is so retro – I love it!

SMS Giveaway

In the bundle is 1 metre of the kitchen print and a fat quarter of each of the chevrons – green, navy, orange and yellow. These measurements are Australian so that is a bit bigger than a yard and the fat quarters are a bit bigger than the American!

To enter I would like to know what you would make for your kitchen with these fabrics?

And my followers, either here or on Facebook can leave a second comment letting me know how they follow me!

I will post worldwide and I will draw the winner a week from today!

GiveawayDayMay6

For more great giveaways head over to the giveaway pages on the Sew Mama Sew blog, there are loads there so you might need a cuppa and a couple of hours!

Hi Jessica, thanks for the awesome giveaway! It's funny, I just started my own blog and the basis of it was that I've moved into a new, stark house and I want to pretty it up with homemade stuff. The kitchen is a majorly needy area. I plan to make a pot holder, oven mitt, apron, tea towel and grocery bag. So your giveaway would be perfect!

I found (mmmm maybe pinned) a fantastic idea of getting kids to draw onto linen (or similar) to make a great tea towel for grandparents for Christmas (or mums for mother's day). I would love to combine the two ideas - so cool retro one side and two children's hand prints the other. Everyone needs a tea towel - right?

Shanny said...

I think I'd make curtains, actually. My kitchen is red and orange so the fabric would be lovely. Or I could make pot holders. Or both. We shall see.

I would make pot holders, which I've been dying to make and desperately need. I'd use any leftover bits as accents on towels or an apron... Or perhaps it would be enough material to scrap those ideas all together and make a curtain for one window and a valance for the other in my kitchen...? Who knows! :) Hopefully I'll have the dilemma of needing to decide!

Oh my gosh - that kitchen print is awesome. I just finished making kitchen curtains out of another kitchen print (not sure who prints that one). Anyway, I could sure use some more oven mitts out of this print. Although they'd be too pretty to actually use, but would look super cute hanging in the kitchen somewhere. :)
