Free Motion Quilting

Hiya!

I am sorry it has been a bit quiet around here this month, I have even had a break from blog reading. I have been crazy busy getting a quilt finished and pattern written – it is done now so hopefully tomorrow I can take some photos and give you a sneak peek!

But for now I will show you what I was doing today -

Quilting with Janome

I was putting the final touches on this Bee quilt that is a couple of years old…I know, I have a problem with finishing things. It has been in the cupboard for 6 months or so just waiting for a tiny bit of free motion quilting around the rocket and it only took a couple of hours to get it done. The binding has been sewn on and tonight I will start hand sewing it down while we watch Star Trek.

Do you remember this?

Sewing table part 1

This was the start of my special table just for FMQ! And you can see a glimpse of it in the first photo. It has been finished for ages and it has taken this long for me to use it and get some photos.

Quilting with Janome 1

It works brilliantly and is also great for sewing on binding. One of my fav features is the tape measure sticker that I have stuck along the front edge of the table. And my sewing chair has to be the best chair you can get…if you can get one I highly recommend it!

I’ll be back soon with quilt photo’s. And I have lots if catching up to do so it might get busy around here again!

I knew you would love your table. It is the best thing I have had hubby do to my table :)
