School starts and paying it forward…

Hi all,

So school started yesterday for my oldest little fella…

He is in Grade 1 this year. Unfortunately I had an anxiety attack yesterday morning and couldn’t take him myself so his dad got the honour of settling him in.

It all went fairly well with no tears! Maybe daddy taking him worked out for the best…last year it took a whole term for him to calm down and settle in which probably explains my anxiety, I have been stressing for the last week. Anyway I’m sure it will be a good year for him, he has some friends from last year in his class and he has big goals! He wants “to learn to read long books with tricky words” – his words!

Now on to paying it forward….

A couple of weeks ago I won a giveaway, there were a couple of prizes but this is the one I won -

It is lovely but it is not my style…here is a pic of the back -

I have conversed with the person I won it off and asked if I could pay it forward…

So, if this is your style and you truly love it let me know…the first person who says they love it will get it! I will post international too! Please make sure I can contact you.

Good to know that the little guy is settling in well at school. Sorry, that you felt stressed but hopefully the worst is over. I remember when I left Thomas on his first day at Kindergarten he was crying and when I picked him up he was still crying, apparently without stopping in between. We now laugh about it but then I was fairly stressed as well.
And he (your little fella) is so cute; his backpack is nearly bigger than him ;).

Can't wait to see my son going up to school! I know I will be very excited. Love the pattern, too bad, I'm not lucky number one.

Ah, that first day at school is such an exciting but nerve wracking time. I think kids may need wheelbarrows to cart their stuff to school, check out the size of his back pack, lol.

Your little guy is so sweet, before you know it he will be graduating from high school... believe me, it goes fast!
I guess I missed the opportunity to say that this book is my style exactly, oh well....

Your little guy looks so cool with his big backpack and folder. He will be fine Jess. Hope you are feeling a little better now that you both are over the first hurdle. Lovely book. I am glad that Vreni got it :-)

Our little ones grow up so quickly. I am impressed with his goals.
Hope you are feeling better.

Hope he has a great year! Reading long books with tricky words is one of my favorite things.
