My Bloggers Choice Fat Quarter Bundle

Hi all,

This has been all over blogland this week so I thought I would give it a go!

The idea is to design your own designer fat quarter bundle like we have seen on the Fat Quarter Shop and then link it up over at Quokka Quilts. There is the possibility of winning a half yard bundle of your selections too!

So I started with violet/purple – my favourite colour! And grey had to be another key colour. I tried yellow as the 3rd colour but it didn’t look right so I went with berry (violet-red) because it is next to violet on the colour wheel.

I have actually been playing with this for a couple of days…and also did another completely different colourway. But I do love this one! The hedgehogs just give the selection a touch of whimsy too which is great.

It is called Opposites in my backyard.

It is designed for kids and has 3 sets of opposites with removable tags for each set.

Weekend wrap-up!

Hi guys,

The trip out to Gatton was really nice, the boys behaved themselves (and slept a bit) on the drive, the weather was fantastic and the company was lovely!

We left early and had breakfast at Kilcoy, boy was it cold! But we enjoyed a cooked picnic of bacon, eggs, sausages and hash browns.

Then we headed out to the Quilters Trail Muster .....

There was a phenomenal amount of prizes, any would have been great to win....however I didn't really expect to win anything, which was good because I didn't win! (That's Penny from Patchwork Angel, sorting out prizes).

I was surprised at the amount of ladies that had already made up the quilt that we collected the kit for on the trail....

This is only half of the finished quilts. The winning quilt is the cream one, third from the right. Her buses had photos of the women that went on her bus for the trail.

There are about 250 blogs all giving something away, I have found some fantastic prizes!
